A new clip from the upcoming horror film 'The Monkey', directed by Oz Perkins, offers a glimpse into its gruesome story. The film, based on Stephen King's 1980 short story, follows twin brothers Hal and Bill as they deal with a mysterious monkey toy that unleashes a series of deadly events.

But when the mysterious deaths begin again, the brothers must reunite to find a way to destroy the monkey for good before it takes the lives of everyone close to them.

The video begins with Perkins, as he gifts the audience a sneak peak of The Monkey, which he describes as a “pretty dark but a lot of fun” adaptation of Stephen King’s 1980 short story of the same name. The clip shows one of the film’s brutal killing sequences involving a woman who “accidentally” pierces her face with Christmas decorations., Tatiana Maslany, Elijah Wood, Colin O’Brien, Rohan Campbell, and Sarah Levy. The film is produced by James Wan, Michael Clear, Jason Cloth, and Dave Caplan.
