Haas F1 Team kicks off Formula 1 launch season with first images of its Vf-23 livery.
Haas’ 2023 car, the VF-23, is scheduled to make its on-track debut at a shakedown at Silverstone on February 11.
It promises to be an intriguing season for Haas, which finished eighth in last year’s Constructors’ Championship, overhauling AlphaTauri and Williams. Last year, its ambition was to re-establish itself in the midfield, after a couple of financially-driven fallow seasons, and it ticked that box, including an unforgettable shock maiden pole in the rain of São Paulo.
In Magnussen and Hülkenberg, Haas has a veteran driver pairing well-versed in the nuances and requirements of the Formula 1 midfield in which Haas is likely to operate.“We really have something to build on following last year’s performances,” said Haas team principal Guenther Steiner. “The whole organization has been working hard to reach this point and obviously in Kevin and Nico we have two proven points-scoring talents locked in behind the wheel.
Yet that is the medium-term ambition for Haas, meaning 2023 has to be the next phase of that journey, and it must demonstrate tangible year-on-year progress.
