Officials in Texas confirmed the first death as a result of the ongoing ‘heat dome’ that is bringing triple-digit temperatures to many parts of the US. Nearly one quarter of the population are under extreme heat advisories.
Victor Ramos, a 67-year-old resident of Houston, was killed on June 24. On Friday, a medical examiner determined the man died from accidental hyperthermia.
