Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh is tracking a disturbance out of the Gulf of Mexico that’ll bring multiple rounds of rain and storms.
“Amounts will average a half inch to an inch and a half with local amounts as much as two inches in a few spots. There is a threat for some strong storms and perhaps an isolated severe storm. We’ll keep you updated round the clock through the day today.”, said Buresh. An evening shower or thunderstorm will eventually end and skies will clear out. Overnight lows fall into the low 60s.
Friday begins a warming trend with temperatures climbing to the mid 80s and partly sunny skies. There may be an isolated brief shower but most of the day is dry.Our next front arrives late Sunday. It’ll be partly cloud, warm and humid with a few showers. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s ahead of rain and storms.
That front brings lower humidity and cooler air early next week. Temperatures will be below average on Monday.
