Rain and storm chances return Friday into Saturday
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Temperatures will be the big story as we move through the remainder of the week. Afternoon highs will run above average, reaching the 60s and 70s, while overnight lows remain mild in the 50s.
Each day will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine, with fog possible during the morning hours. Rain chances stay low through midweek, but a better chance for rain and storms arrives Friday into Saturday. Out the door this morning, conditions are foggy and cloudy, with temperatures hovering in the 40s and 50s and light winds. Fog should lift by about 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday will be mainly cloudy as a disturbance moves closer to the region. Highs will reach the 60s and 70s, with southwest winds around 5 to 10 mph, gusting at times. A shower is possible overnight, but most locations will remain dry and cloudy. Lows will settle into the 50s and 60s with light winds. A mix of sun and clouds is expected Wednesday, with highs pushing into the mid-70s. A southerly breeze continues, and dry conditions are anticipated.
