Rain chances rise late week into the weekend
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Warm air continues to headline the forecast over the next couple of days, while rain chances rise Friday into Saturday. By this afternoon, highs reach either side of 80 degrees under partly to mostly cloudy skies; winds will be out of the west around 5 mph.
Temperatures stay warm Thursday. Highs climb into the low to mid-80s under a mix of sun and clouds with a steady west-to-south breeze. Highs remain warm, in the 70s and 80s, with south to southwest winds. Rain chances increase through the day. Lows once again fall into the 50s and 60s as we head into a weekend with some wet weather likely. This weekend, rain chances stay in play as the system moves through the region. It doesn’t look like a total washout, but spotty rain is possible... mainly Saturday morning. Temperatures hold in the 70s and 80s during the day, with lows in the 50s and 60s overnight. Another boundary is projected to move through sometime midweek next week, bringing another round of rain and thunderstorm chances. There are still a lot of question marks with this system, so expect adjustments. Stay tuned for updates.
