Major drop in temperatures expected mid-to-late week.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - A cold front will bring beneficial rain and a few rumbles of thunder tonight and throughout the day Tuesday. Once the front exits, colder air will filter into the region. With highs struggling to warm out of the 50s late week, and overnight lows dropping into the 30s and 40s.
Today expect clouds to build through the afternoon and evening. Winds will be out of the south around 5 to 10 mph and afternoon highs climb into the upper 70s. While we are dry today, rain chances rise overnight. With lows hovering in the 60s, a cloudy sky and southeast winds. Rain will start to wind down by late Tuesday evening drying out by Wednesday. Lows will hover in the 60s with clouds gradually clearing through Wednesday morning. Once things dry out, most locations should see a very beneficial amount of rain from this system.
