A cold front will bring much needed rain Wednesday into Thursday.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Dry weather with a bit more sunshine is expected today. Clouds build Wednesday and winds increase ahead of a cold front that will sweep across the region Wednesday night into Thursday. Not only will this front bring much needed rain to Alabama, it will also cool temperatures down a bit Friday and into the weekend.
Winds increase a bit tonight and a few clouds will stream into the region. Lows will hover in the upper 50s with mainly dry conditions continuing. There are still some disagreements on details in the various sets of computer model output, but the idea of a fast-moving line of showers and storms is gaining credibility for Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.
We are mainly dry this weekend with plenty of sunshine. Highs will be in the 70s with overnight lows in the 40s.
