ANCHORAGE , AK - In Southcentral, wind gusts up to 63 miles per hour have been recorded in Palmer, with 77 miles per hour winds in Valdez and 95 mile per hour winds recorded in higher elevations along the Richardson Highway this morning in Thompson Pass.

Thompson Pass is under a High Wind Warning now through Monday at noon, while Matanuska Valley will see a High Wind Warning from Sunday at noon, through Monday at noon. Across the Kenai Peninsula, gusts are likely up to 50 miles per hour so be cautious as and prepare for debris and potential power outages.For Southeast, two rounds of precipitation will move through this weekend. The first round has already arrived, bringing 2.25 inches of snow to Ketchikan and 3 inches of snow to Wrangell. Wind speeds are another impacted expected with this storm as winds have already been recorded at 70 mile per hour in Douglas. High Wind Warnings are in effect for Juneau and Skagway through tonight with Winter Storm watches in effect in the central Panhandle through tonight and tomorrow afternoon.
