Today's Alaska weather forecast from Alaska's Weather Source.

Southcentral is facing unseasonably cold temperatures with highs sitting at or just below 0 degrees. Overnight lows from the Mat-Su Valley are likely to reach -20 degrees with -30 degree lows possible in Talkeetna and Soldotna.

While the Interior is familiar with cold temperatures, high temperatures over the course of the past week have sat 30 and 40 degrees below normal. Lows across the region will rest closer to 50 below zero accompanied by high temperatures hovering not too far, around -45 degrees. Clear skies will remain through the weekend with high pressure aiding in the stationary cold air. Along the Aleutian Chain severe wind gusts, up to 90 and 100 miles per hour are expected for Atka, Adak, and Shemya Sunday afternoon. While surrounding islands may see gusts up to 70 miles per hour, caution is advised as gusts this speed can severely damage homes.24/7 Alaska Weather: Get access to live radar, satellite, weather cameras, current conditions, and the latest weather forecast here.
