7 Namor the Submariner Dominated the X-Men X-Men #6 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby Namor the Submariner temporarily joins Magneto’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, as he was feeling furious towards humanity at this team following yet another defeat by the hands of the Fantastic Four. So, when the X-Men came to attack the Brotherhood , Namor proves his commitment to Magneto in their mutually beneficial partnership by dispatching the X-Men without breaking a sweat.
5 The Stranger Beat the X-Men AND the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants X-Men #11 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby The Stranger was easily the most powerful villain the X-Men had faced up until that point . While not disclosed during the events of this issue, the Stranger is a cosmic entity and the living embodiment of every single member of the Gigantian Eternal species merged into one.
3 Sentinels Immediately Proved Why They’re a Constant Menace X-Men #14 by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Jay Gavin Any modern X-Men fan can attest to the fact that Sentinels are perhaps the greatest threat to the X-Men above any other, and their first appearance illustrated that perfectly. This issue showed the creation of the Sentinels, as well as their true, terrifying purpose. When the X-Men fought back against them, the Sentinels quickly defeated the mutants they were programmed to destroy.
