Fresh off back-to-back road wins, explosive FC Tucson back at Kino North Monday for annual July 3 game — featuring post-game fireworks and likely the biggest crowd of the season
The red-hot FC Tucson men return home Monday hoping for another batch of in-game fireworks to go along with the scheduled postgame show.
FC Tucson drew 1,793 for a friendly that featured postgame fireworks on May 5 to open the season against the Guanajuato Selección XI. They are expecting 2,000 or more for Monday’s game. FC Tucson's best crowds have all taken place on either July 3 or 4. The record was 2,983 in 2014, followed by 2,210 in 2017 and 2,168 in 2016.FC Tucson enters the game on a six-game unbeaten streak, having won two in a row and four of their last six. They are 5-0-1 this year at home, including friendlies.They have their Independence Day game on July 3 because they are usually the only fireworks show in town.
