Firefighters battling 5-alarm fire; 3 buildings destroyed: Report

The TV station says the fire is near the intersection of East Lancaster Street and Maple Lane in Red Lion. Crews were dispatched to the area at 7:24 a.m. for a high risk structure fire, according to the York County Department of Emergency Service. Ted Czech, the public information officer for the York County Emergency Management, told WGAL that three buildings were destroyed by fire. He told the station that there was used motor oil stored in one of the buildings and that’s why York County HazMat was called to the fire scene., said in a message on its Facebook page. “We ask that if you have respiratory issues and you are near the location please shelter in place. There is no immediate danger at this time.
