The Zarda and Bostock cases are being combined for one hour of oral argument, possibly as early as this fall, when the Supreme Court begins its next session.is the case of Gerald Bostock, who worked as a child-welfare-services coordinator in Georgia. Bostock claims that after his bosses learned that he was gay, they falsely accused him of mismanaging public money so that they could fire him. But he says it's because he is gay.Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
"I hope I can be there," Stephens told me by telephone, fearful her serious health issues that currently leave her unable to work may prevent her from attending her own fight before the Supreme Court. She and her wife Donna remain married and living together since she came out, but the result of her termination and her health battle has made life harder."It was a relief," Donna said, when Stephens finally came out,"but it is a struggle, financially.
