A benefit concert called FireAid brings together a star-studded lineup of musicians to raise funds for victims of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
Billie Eilish and Finneas, Lady Gaga , Gracie Abrams, and more musicians are joining forces to support those affected by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. These fires, considered the most destructive in California history, have tragically claimed at least 27 lives, displaced over 80,000 residents, and ravaged over 60 square miles, according to CBS News.
A star-studded benefit concert, aptly named FireAid, has been announced to raise crucial funds for the victims and communities impacted by the blazes, and to support future fire relief endeavors. The concert will feature a dazzling array of musical icons and rising stars, and will be widely broadcast and streamed across the United States. FireAid, produced by the Irving Azoff family in collaboration with Live Nation and AEG Presents, aims to not only provide immediate relief but also to contribute to long-term initiatives that will help prevent future fire disasters in Southern California. The concert will take place on Thursday, January 30, at 6 p.m. PT, across two iconic Los Angeles venues: the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum. The performance lineup boasts an impressive roster of talent, including Billie Eilish and Finneas, Gracie Abrams, Tate McRae, Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell, Lil Baby, Earth, Wind & Fire, Green Day, Sting, Jelly Roll, Katy Perry, P!nk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stephen Stills, Gwen Stefani, Rod Stewart, and a special collaboration between Dave Matthews and John Mayer.Additional acts, surprise guests, and the specific lineup for each venue will be revealed in the coming days. Tickets for FireAid will go on sale on January 22 at 12 p.m. PT through Ticketmaster, with prices yet to be announced. The concert will be accessible to a global audience through a wide range of streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Apple TV, Max, Netflix and TUDUM, Paramount+, Prime Video, Amazon Music's Twitch channel, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, Spotify, SoundCloud, Veeps, and YouTube. It will also be screened live at select AMC Theatres in 70 U.S. markets. All proceeds from FireAid will be channeled through the Annenberg Foundation to support both short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives aimed at preventing future fire catastrophes. Notably, the Los Angeles Clippers have generously pledged to cover the event's substantial expenses, ensuring that every dollar raised goes directly to helping those affected by the wildfires.
