A blaze near Glasgow's M8 motorway sparked an 999 response.
Firefighters were called to reports of a fire in the open in the city's Springfield Quay area shortly after 6pm on Wednesday, May 8.On arrival, crews were met with a fire which had taken hold of a quantity of waste.A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 6.24pm on Wednesday, May 8, to reports of a fire in the open in Glasgow.
