CINCINNATI -More than 400 University of Cincinnati students were forced to evacuate when fire broke out in a 14-story dorm on campus overnight, fire officials say. An artificial Christmas tree started “a small fire” in a dorm room on the second floor at Morgens Hall on Scioto Lane around 10:19 p.

m., according to the Cincinnati Fire Department.No one was hurt, but 12 freshman students are displaced, fire officials say. Some were evacuated to Fifth Third Arena, others were taken to Scioto Hall, a UC spokeswoman tells FOX19 NOW. “All floors except the second floor are currently being reopened,” she said. “There is some water damage as a result of the hoses used to extinguish the fire and a strong smell of smoke.
