One of Russia's biggest mobile howitzer and artillery system manufacturers caught on fire early on Thursday morning.
A fire has broken out at a key military facility in Russia, with Russian and Ukrainian social media channels posting videos of flames and smoke billowing into the air.Ukraine Fights was among pro-Kyiv Telegram channels which shared footage of the blaze at Uraltransmash in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg, in the Sverdlovsk region, around 1,100 miles east of Moscow.The site produces military equipment and machine tools used for Russia's war machine, the post noted.
The company, which Newsweek has contacted for comment, said that the area of the fire was smaller than reported, covering around 2,150 square feet.In the comments section of the E1 article, readers speculated about the cause of the blaze. 'Saboteurs have penetrated everywhere,' wrote one.
