Fire destroys boarded-up home in Mountain View [Breaking]
San Diego firefighters put out a blaze early Wednesday at an abandoned home in the Mountain View area where squatters have been known to be living, a fire official said.
Fire crews arrived at the house on Ocean View Boulevard near Marketplace Avenue around 1:40 a.m. and found the building with heavy fire showing from the front, San Diego Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief Chris Babler told OnScene TV.Advertisement It took firefighters around 20 minutes to put out the flames, which Babler said gutted the structure.Code enforcement workers would be notified of the blaze and probably would require the structure to be fenced, Babler said.
