A fire broke out at two Ravenswood auto shops early Saturday sending one person to the hospital, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
CHICAGO -- Chicago firefighters are battling a massive fire in the city's Ravenswood neighborhood on the North Side.
Firefighters were able to get within three minutes of the call which officials say made a huge impact in containing the fire. It likely started in the Smashy Automotive shop and then spread next door to the Star Auto Repair shop, CFD said. The roofs of both buildings collapsed.The products in the shops intensified the fire even more, the fire department said.
