It wasn’t just that Baylor won the national title in 2021. It’s that the Bears have been surrounded by the kind of quality depth and elite competition that people on Tobacco Road or in the land of bluegrass and “Hoosiers” would brag about incessantly if they played hoops like this.And maybe this month we’ll start to appreciate it.
Texas is in line for a No. 2 seed. Baylor might get one, too. TCU and surging Texas A&M are potential Sweet 16 teams, assuming none of these Lone Star State powers get in each other’s way en route to the regionals.
