So we will still have to suffer the kindergarten behaviour, name-calling, misogyny, personal abuse, mockery, and yelling at each other that characterise “political debate” in this country.
My latest water bill has just landed in my letter box, accompanied by a glossy colour leaflet from Sydney Water featuring a picture of The Wiggles flexing their biceps and no mention of any problems with our water quality. While urging me to be a water-saving superhero ready to “groove to the Wiggles catchy tune” there’s a sidebar paragraph claiming “our water quality monitoring program confirmed that Greater Sydney’s drinking water was high quality and safe from April to June this year.
