This refreshing of Ford's line-up, alongside the new Ranger and Everest, gives the Blue Oval a modern look at different price points.The Puma's arrival is vital as rivals such as the VW T-Cross, Hyundai Kona and Mazda CX-30 have had time to establish themselves and carve their position into the extremely ripe segment.
At the same time, the optional Ford MegaBox provides a deep, versatile storage space that can comfortably accommodate two golf bags in an upright position!Like the VW Taigo, the Puma's 1.0-litre three-cylinder gives it the smallest displacement of its rivals.Performance numbers are not quoted, but experience in the EcoSport leads us to believe the Puma should possess ample punch, with five driving modes tailoring the response and urgency required.
The only minor downside is the Puma comes with Ford's previous-generation SYNC 3 system versus the Sync 4A on the Everest and Ranger.
