The judge’s scheduling order in early November was the first action taken since a year earlier when Turner denied legal motions by Johnson’s lawyers to dismiss the case. “I think the frequency of the calls and the length of the call shortly thereafter, you know, after this incident, are what is going to allow the prosecution to make the argument, you know, she was in constant communication with them. She’s trying to cover this up, she’s directing people to do certain things in her position of authority. And that’s why they’re wanting to have her prosecuted,” Plata said.
