◼️ The Queen passed Buckingham Palace for the final time as her coffin was towed down the Mall
As the funeral service started, the Dean of Westminster, the Reverend David Hoyle, paid tribute to the Queen’s “long life of selfless service”.
Coach by coach, dignitaries and extended family members arrived at the West Gate but it was the entrance of Joe Biden in his own car – not a bus like other world leaders – that captivated the attention of the watching media. As has been the case with all of the arrangements since the death of the Queen, security and military figures have carried out their roles with impeccable precision.

At 6.30am this morning, the Queen’s lying-in-state ended ahead of her coffin being taken by a bearer party of the Queen’s Company, 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, from Westminster Hall to the abbey, where 2,000 mourners, including 500 foreign dignitaries, began to gather this morning.
