Mitchell Dante Saron, a Filipino American fencer and member of the Harvard men's fencing team, has secured his spot in the Olympic men's saber events representing the United States in the upcoming Paris Olympics.
MANILA, Philippines: Another fencer of Filipino descent has booked his ticket for the upcoming Paris Olympics .A member of the Harvard men's fencing team, 23-year-old Filipino American Mitchell Dante Saron, was announced to compete in the Olympic men's saber events under the flag of the United States .'I'm currently qualified and training for the Paris 2024 Olympics as part of Team USA's Men's Saber Team,' Saron wrote on his LinkedIn profile.
'USA Fencing and Harvard had made the announcement on March 27, confirming Saron's attendance in Paris.'Hats off to Mitchell for this incredible achievement! Thanks to coach Oleg Stetsiv, the Harvard fencing community, and Mitchell's family and friends for their unwavering support. Fantastic, Mitchell!' USA Fencing said in its social media post.
