Tyson advanced to the next round of the reality singing competition, where he will be vying for a spot in the Top 12. In American Idol's most recent episode, Tyson wowed the judges and the audience with a performance of his original song "180," which secured him a spot in the Top 20. "It was so great when you performed your own songs. I know what you stand for, I know what your values are, I know what your perspective is, [and] I know where your heart is," American Idol judge Katy Perry told Tyson during the episode aired on Monday.On Instagram, the American Idol hopeful asked his supporters to vote for him to advance to the show's next round.
