Thanks to Van Cleef & Arpels, you can plop on a peony filled bench while strolling down Fifth Avenue for Fifth Avenue Blooms.
is getting a colorful makeover, and just in time for spring. For the third year in a row, Van Cleef & Arpels is hosting, an immersive, monthlong sidewalk installation that features 3-D artwork gardenscapes to celebrate the change of season. Isn’t springtime in New York the best?
The artwork, designed by French artist Alexandre Benjamin Navet, features sensorial elements for the first time this year, such as small movements and sound. The artworks light up each night, facing the Van Cleef & Arpels store on the avenue.
Working in partnership with the Fifth Avenue Association, there are over eight pieces of artwork running from 50th to 58th Street, and the pieces are all multiple styles: grand benches, where you can stop, rest your feet, and smell the roses; fountains; swings; or several promenades for the perfect photo moment. It’s more than just the artwork though. There are alsoof live florals.
