The city of Aurora’s Hispanic Heritage Advisory Board offered the festival which ran Saturday and Sunday at RiverEdge Park in Aurora.
A big crowd was on hand Saturday night to enjoy the music at Fiestas Patrias in Aurora.
The city of Aurora’s Hispanic Heritage Advisory Board offered the festival which ran Saturday and Sunday at RiverEdge. Director of communications for the city of Aurora Tony Martinez said more than 7,000 people were expected to attend each day of the festival. “Anything that is spent at the festival whether it’s food, beverages or ticket prices is a reinvestment into the community,” Martinez said. “It goes right to scholarships for the Latino youth here in Aurora.”Becky Aguilar from Berwyn said she has come to the festival before and was looking forward to hearing Los Tucanes de Tijuana.
