Because of construction along Broadway , the route will take a jog closer to Interstate 37 as it makes its way toward Alamo Plaza . Roads will be blocked off along the parade route.

The vanguard starts at 9:55 a.m. Friday with the parade set to start at 10:30 a.m. The roads along the route will be closed starting at 8 a.m. — so get downtown early if you’re wanting to avoid the barriers . The roads are scheduled to remain closed until 3 p.m.

San Antonio will be closing the roads along the parade route, which starts at North Main Avenue at East Locust Street near the San Antonio college campus and ends at Santa Rosa and East Martin streets, near the San Pedro Creek Culture Park. The route are along the following road sections: Main from Locust to Lexington Avenue. Lexington from Main to North St.
