The Battle of Flowers and Fiesta Flambeau parades go through the heart of downtown, following the same 2.6-mile route.

But you may not have reached the stage of planning for road closures for Fiesta ’s premier parades. Here’s a quick guide on what to expect Friday and Saturday. Because of construction along Broadway , the route will take a jog closer to Interstate 37 as it makes its way toward Alamo Plaza . Roads will be blocked off along the parade route.

The vanguard starts at 9:55 a.m. Friday with the parade set to start at 10:30 a.m. The roads along the route will be closed starting at 8 a.m. — so get downtown early if you’re wanting to avoid the barriers . The roads are scheduled to remain closed until 3 p.m.

The route are along the following road sections: Main from Locust to Lexington Avenue. Lexington from Main to North St.
