Happy parade day, Phoenix. Here are the streets to flock to (or avoid), depending on how you'd like to spend your Saturday.
The official name — the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl Parade presented by Lerner and Rowe — doesn’t exactly trip off the tongue.Al McCoy,, will be the grand marshal. It’s fitting not only because McCoy — who used to call Arizona State University football games on TV and radio and was for a time the stadium announcer — was part of the original committee that worked to bring a college-football bowl game to Arizona.
“This is really a nice honor,” McCoy told The Arizona Republic. “I was really shocked when I was invited.”The 2022 Fiesta Bowl Parade starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec, 17.The parade, which will follow its traditional 2-mile route through central Phoenix, is free to attend. Premium and reserved seating are available for $30.
