TRAFFIC UPDATE: One person is dead and three others — including a 5 and 7-year-old — were injured in a crash that happened on I-95 near SR 207 in St. Johns County, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol. All lanes have reopened.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, it was raining and the roads were wet at the time of the crash. FHP said the semi and sedan were traveling south when the driver of the sedan lost control of the vehicle, traveled across lanes and struck a guardrail. It then traveled back onto the roadway and into the path of the semi.
A man, a woman, and two children from Lavonia, Georgia were inside the sedan. All four were taken to the hospital where the 28-year-old front passenger was pronounced deceased. The driver is also 28 years old. She and the two children suffered minor injuries.About the Authors:
