'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' star Mia Sara stepped out for the Los Angeles premiere of 'The Life of Chuck,' her first role in a decade.
“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” star Mia Sara made a rare red carpet appearance for her first movie role in over a decade. Sara looked stunning on the carpet, wearing a black dress for the Los Angeles premiere of “The Life of Chuck,” which she costars in with Tom Hiddleston, Mark Hamill, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, and Carl Lumbly.
“The Life of Chuck” marks her first film role since 2011, when she starred in “Dorothy and the Witches of Oz.” The 57-year-old is best known to most audiences for her role as Ferris Bueller’s girlfriend, Sloane Peterson, in the 1986 comedy starring Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck. She made her film debut in the fantasy film “Legend,” alongside Tom Cruise and Tim Curry, and appeared in other movies like “Timecop” and TV shows like “Birds of Prey.”during a recent interview that she currently lives in "a 17th century farmhouse" in England with her husband, Brian Henson, son of Muppets creator Jim Henson. She told the outlet the primary reason she took a role in the movie, based on a novella by Stephen King, was the fact she was a fan of the director Mike Flanagan. "We've been such fans, and we met socially, he and the magnificent Kate Siegel , and he just said, 'Well, don't you ever really want to work again?' " Sara told the outlet. "And I said, 'Oh, I don't know.' He said, 'Well, what if I offered you something?' I said, 'Well, okay, if you offer me something, I'll do it.' ""If Mike needs me, I'll be there,” she said.
