Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna announced that the company's first all-electric model will be unveiled on October 9th at the company's Financial Markets Presentation Day. The electric vehicle is one of six new Ferrari models expected in 2025.

Ferrari will reveal its inaugural all-electric model on October 9th. The unveiling date for Ferrari 's first fully electric car, previously anticipated for 2025, has been officially confirmed. Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna announced during the company's Financial Markets Presentation Day that the electric vehicle will make its debut on October 9th. Moreover, he revealed that this electric model is one of six new Ferrari models slated for release in 2025.

Vigna's announcement coincided with the presentation of Ferrari's financial results for 2024, which saw the automaker report a net profit of 1.53 billion euros, a 21 percent surge compared to the previous year. Deliveries also increased by 0.7 percent to 13,752 units. While Vigna referred to the upcoming electric vehicle as “elettrica”, this is not its confirmed name. He refrained from divulging specific details about the vehicle. However, prototypes spotted near Ferrari's headquarters in Maranello, Italy, indicate a raised ground clearance, reminiscent of the Purosangue SUV. It is unlikely that this will be a traditional Ferrari car. Ferrari has already secured numerous patents related to the electric technology it intends to implement, including one concerning a three-motor powertrain. The company is also actively exploring various methods to generate an emotionally engaging sound, a crucial aspect of the Ferrari brand identity. Ferrari plans to develop its own electric motors, inverters, and batteries, while collaborating with partners in specific areas, such as battery technology. Speculation suggests that the price tag for this first electric model could reach 500,000 euros, translating to approximately $750,000 CAD. Production is scheduled to commence in early 2026
