. It turns out you were looking at this, the new KC23. The latest product from Maranello’s ‘Special Projects’ programme, the new car was commissioned by one of the Prancing Horse’s leading collectors.
The brand describes the new track-only car as ‘a bold and extreme vision of what the closed wheel racing of the future may look like,’ and from the outside at least, it looks like the brief has been nailed.The KC23 may look new, but it uses the tried and tested chassis of the 488 GT3 Evo 2020. To that end, its bespoke bodywork houses a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V capable of pushing out 592bhp and 516lb ft of torque to the rear wheels.
Inside Ferrari engineers have kept the KC23 as true to the 488 Evo as possible, with the addition of extra comforts for the passenger side – not a requirement of the original car.
