'Feral youths' torch Scots takeaway causing £10k damage as owner left devastated
Fire crews were called to Aldo’s Hot and Cold Food in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, after a blaze took hold at 5.45am on Monday morning. SFRS teams worked to contain the flames at the premises, which sits below residential flats.
"The front of the shop was destroyed. The roller shutters were burnt to a crisp, all three of the windows had blown and the signage had been destroyed."I will have to get everything replaced or repaired. It's going to cost at least £10,000." Although the shop reopened this week with the help from locals, Doreen says the financial impact of the fire could be devastating for her business.
