Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk on Monday sounded the alarm over the $59 million payment.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has fired four employees over payments to house migrants in New York City, the Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday.over the $59 million payment made last week by FEMA. Cameron Hamilton, acting FEMA administrator, responded by noting those responsible would be held accountable.
DHS told The National News Desk it identified and fired four individuals who authorized such payments. Among them is the agency’s CFO Mary Comans, according to a spokesperson. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem’s leadership, DHS will not sit idly and allow deep state activists to undermine the will and safety of the American people,” the spokesperson added.
"FEMA just hasn't done the job, and we're looking at the whole concept of FEMA," Trump said. "I like, frankly, the concept when North Carolina gets hit, the governor takes care of it."
