Federal Court to hear former election official’s appeal

A FORMER returning officer for Rantau constituency, Amino Agos Suyub, was granted leave by the Federal Court today to appeal against part of a Court of Appeal decision, which ordered a retrial of his contempt of court proceedings before the same High Court judge.

A three-member bench led by Chief Justice Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat gave him 14 days to file and serve the notice of appeal. Effective July 2018, access to full reports will only be available with a subscription. Sign-up now and enjoy one week free access!
