Fed's Logan sees inflation trending toward 2% target
Lorie Logan, the President of the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank, said today that she sees inflation making progress towards the Federal Reserve's 2% target.
"I think there's good reasons to think that we're headed to 2% -- we're still on that path, perhaps a bit slower and a little bit bumpier than maybe many thought at the beginning of the year," Logan said. This acknowledgment of"upside risks" around inflation suggests vigilance on the part of the Federal Reserve as it monitors economic indicators and adjusts its policies accordingly.
