For 23-year old volunteer and mother Olive Illut, the call for humanitarian work was never hard to answer.
In the middle of the pandemic though, Illut worries that this could possibly put her family at risk of contracting the virus.sa mga tao kasi hindi ko naman nakikita ang mga kalaban ko. At unang-una, may pamilya po ako. May isa rin akong anak.
Humanitarian workers and volunteers quickly responded to the unique needs of different communities as they worked to complement and fill in the gaps of the government response to this health crisis. Among these volunteers is Illut. With NLMNF's partner organization Shared Aid Fund for Emergency Response , Illut and her team managed to respond to the needs of 954 families from March to July 2020.
