The FBI seized New York City Mayor Eric Adams ’ electronic devices this week as part of an ongoing corruption probe , examining his 2021 campaign. At least two cell phones and an iPad were seized by the FBI , which approached Adams after an event on Monday night. The devices were reportedly returned a few days later. Adams’ attorney, Boyd Johnson, said, “The mayor has not been accused of any wrongdoing and continues to cooperate with the investigation.
” He also added, “After learning of the federal investigation, it was discovered that an individual had recently acted improperly. In the spirit of transparency and cooperation, this behavior was immediately and proactively reported to investigators.” Adams said, “I expect all members of my staff to follow the law and fully cooperate with any sort of investigation — and I will continue to do exactly that.” Between 2018 and 2021, Adams received donations totaling $18,600 from the Turkish American Steering Committee and the NYC-based Turken Foundation
