The FBI is revealing new details in their investigation into the tragic New Year's Day attack in New Orleans where a Houston man, Shamsud-Din Jabbar , intentionally drove his rented pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street, killing 14 people and injuring 57 others. According to the FBI , Jabbar's journey began on December 30th when he picked up the truck in Houston and drove to New Orleans on the evening of December 31st.

Prior to the attack, Jabbar had posted videos online expressing his support for ISIS and even mentioned considering harming his family and friends. On November 10th, he traveled to New Orleans by train, viewed a potential apartment for rent, and returned to Texas that evening. He later applied for the apartment but ultimately changed his mind.
