UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was shot to death in Manhattan this week. This is the man the NYPD is looking for in the killing.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for this crime.The manhunt for a gunman who executed the CEO of UnitedHealthcare on a midtown Manhattan street this week stretched into a third day Friday, with investigatorsAccording to senior law enforcement officials, a gray bag was found in Central Park that investigators are examining to see if it is the same bag the suspected shooter carried.
Earlier in the day, police released photos of a"person of interest" they want to speak with in connection with the case. Dramatic surveillance video obtained by NBC New York and described by police appears to show Thompson walking down the sidewalk on 54th Street towards the hotel entrance when a gunman comes up behind him and shoots him in the back. Police said the shooter's gun jammed but he was able to clear it several times and shoot Thompson in the front before leaving the scene, first on foot and then on an e-bike.
