The Order follows FBI agent Terry Husk (Jude Law) as he investigates a series of bank robberies and armored car heists, convinced they are being orchestrated by a domestic terrorist gang with plans for an armed uprising against the U.S. government. The film delves into the dangerous world of white supremacists, led by the malevolent racist Bob Mathews, leading to a climactic standoff.
Kurzel is an Australian singer-songwriter-guitarist and a founding member of the blues rock duo The Mess Hall. He’s also the younger brother of Justin Kurzel, the director of The Order . Kurzel has worked on a litany of high-profile projects as a composer, including doing the score for 2011’s Snowtown, 2017’s Alien: Covenant, 2023’s The Pope’s Exorcist, and most recently working with Dev Patel as the composer for 2024’s Monkey Man.
The Order is directed by Justin Kurzel, from a screenplay written by Zach Baylin. The film stars Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult and is based on a true story about white supremacist Robert Matthews, who committed robberies to fund his plans of domestic terrorism against the government.“For over a year, a series of bold daylight bank robberies and armored car heists leaves law enforcement baffled and the public panicked throughout the Pacific Northwest.
