Warriors will meet a very familiar foe in Northland Christian in the semifinals Friday night in Arlington
The Warriors will be looking for anyway possible to get runners in scoring position Friday night when they take on district foe Northland Christian at UT-Arlington in a TAPPS state semifinal game. Here, the Warriors are stealing a base against Brazos Christian in a playoff game at Deer Park's Jim Kethan Field.Even longtime Pasadena-First Baptist Christian Academy baseball coach David Turner says it's quite the streak his program is on.
"I think the winner of our game will win state," said Turner on Tuesday who will be taking his ninth club to a state championship tournament."We've won it twice. It's hard to win, it's hard to get here." Northland Christian has reached the state semifinals by hammering New Braunfels Christian Academy 15-0 and Central Texas Christian 10-0. At one point in the district race, Northland Christian registered six consecutive shutouts.
