Skipper Owen Farrell was allegedly involved in a training ground “scrap” with a young teammate, resulting in him being overlooked by England at the World Cup.
This is according to former England flyhalf Andy Goode, who was speaking with ex-Scotland international Jim Hamilton and presenter Andy Rowe on the latest episode ofGoode has claimed that Farrell and Henry Arundell had a “set-to” behind the scenes and that’s the reason the 20-year-old winger – who scored five tries against Chile in a Pool D clash – hasn’t been selected since.
“And because you don’t mess around with Faz apparently in this England squad, that’s apparently why Henry Arundell isn’t anywhere near the match-day 23. After scoring five tries by the way, which is massive.” He added: “There’s no smoke without fire lads and I’m happy to say it. It’s what I’ve heard on good authority and I want Henry Arundell in the team.”
