PETALING JAYA: This year, a family of seven who survived Covid-19 together will be having their most special Fathers Day yet as they cherish and celebrate their head of household, Dr Samsu Ambia Ismail.
“Being former Covid-19 patients has really changed our perspective on things. When you almost lose something, you tend to appreciate it more. We really bonded and united as a family when we were at the hospital and later during quarantine at home,” he said yesterday. Dr Samsu Ambia said his family was never one to go all out in celebrating Fathers Day and that they were simply content to have some family time at home.
As for the family of Muhammad Roland Ong Abdullah, they had never given much thought to Fathers Day or Mothers Day before. Their focus had always been on birthday celebrations.
