Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation after a pedestrian was killed in a on Indianapolis' near southeast side late Thursday.
32-year-old Tommy Brock Junior on Pleasant Run Parkway near State Avenue Thursday was behind the wheel of a 2005 Chevy Equinox.
Glenday Bean, Brock's mother, said she and Boyd were called to the scene to identify the body. Bean said when she arrived, all she could see were feet sticking out from underneath a car. The car that hit Brock was traced back to 63-year-old Debra Hines. Hines told 13News she can't drive and uses an oxygen tank. She said she sold the SUV a month-and-a-half ago to a woman on Facebook Marketplace.
"Oh my God. Oh man, you're going to make me cry. That is so sad. I swear. I wish I would have never sold the car. I wish I would have never sold it now. That breaks my heart," an emotional Hines between breaths.
