FECC received an emergency call Friday morning of a structure fire on Bonnifield Street.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Fairbanks Emergency Communication Center received a call reporting a structure fire in the 300 block of Bonnifield Street that occurred around 11 a.m. Friday morning in downtown Fairbanks.
According to a press release, it was reported that a person might be trapped inside the burning building. The Fairbanks Fire Department responded with the first fire truck arriving to the scene within four minutes of being dispatched. Upon arrival firefighters found the house fully engulfed in flames.
While firefighters fought the fire another team of firefighters searched the structure for occupants who might be trapped inside. A deceased male was found and removed from the house.The name of the deceased victim is being withheld pending notification to the family.Copyright 2023 KTVF. All rights reserved.
