BART confirmed the fatality just after 7 a.m.
A BART train hit and killed a person on tracks between the West Dublin/Pleasanton and Dublin/Pleasanton stations early Wednesday, closing service between them, the agency said.
BART officials confirmed the fatality and said the Dublin/Pleasanton station is closed. The person was in the trackway, BART spokeswoman Anna Duckworth said.BART said it was working to use buses to shuttle passengers who are affected by the track shutdown.
